Birna Smith

 

Birna Smith was born and raised in Reykjavík.

She studied at the Reykjavík School of Art between 1970 and 1978.

Birna went to Florins Italy 2001 where she studied the Rembrandt technique and iconic painting.

Birna was running a gallery at Skólavörðustígur 3 along with five other artists in the years 2003 and 2004.

Birna mostly paints in bright and clear colors. Houses and nature are high on her mind.
