launch of IceAid on September 1st 2007 with an exhibition at Art
Iceland Reykjavik. Proceeds from the exhibition will be used by
IceAid to fund the ongoing rehabilitation of orphanages in
Liberia. |

event I couldn't miss. Me, Þrándur and María Rún had been watching the

Charlotta S. Sverrisdóttir opened the
exhibition called A Symphony of Colors in Mira-Art the 1st of October
2006. Mira-Art is located in Baejarlind 6 Kopavogur. The exhibition will
be open until the end of October. A Symphony of Colors is market by the
effect nature has on Charlotta.

Energy Flow - exhibition

Heartbeat of
the Living Nature
Arnór G. Bieltvedt
opened an exhibition in Art Iceland Gallery in
Skólavörðustígur 1A. The opening was Saturday the 18th of February 2006
from 4pm - 7pm. Ólafur Grétarsson played sweet notes on the guitar to
emphasize the light and living tones of the art work. The exhibition
will be open until March 4th. |

received a great guest from New York in our gallery. It was the
multitalented Algea. In fact he came last Saturday also and it was a

Ice Cave - Forms of Nature
Wonders of nature
are hard to describe. One Sunday in March we took off with a small
group in a four wheeling trip on Langjokull ice-cap. We looked at
ice caves that are truly impossible to describe with words.
Hopefully the pictures speak for them selves. |

Legacy - Gimli 2005
Exactly 130 years ago the first Icelandic
settlers set foot on an unfamiliar land. They named the place "Gimli".
Because of this occasion celebrations where planned in Gimli, Manitoba.
We where lucky to be invited to sing some old fashioned Icelandic rhyme

Gerður was a great glass-artist and a
pioneer in that art-form in Iceland. Stained glass windows by her
decorate six churches here in Iceland. Best known are the windows in
the churches of Skálholt and Kópavogur. |

screeching sound of brakes fills the air as a yellow bus stops by the

Magnea Ásmundsdóttir had a happening with mixed media in the Sævar
Karl Gallery.
Some dosens of years ago only a handful
knew what was beyond the horizon where sky and sea meet. The sky
like a blue and beautiful helmet and the horizon closing in on the

Gay
Pride Iceland is celebrated in Reykjavík like many other cities in
the world. This years festival took place Saturday August 7th. It is
estimated that a little less than 40.000 people showed up in
Reykjavík centre, to celebrate with gay's and to show sympathy and
support. |
